Dr. Alexander spent her childhood in the Midwest where she discovered at a young age her passion for caring for animals. In order to pursue her dreams, she first attended the University of Michigan, in Ann Arbor, where she earned her Bachelors of Science. She then continued her education and graduated from Louisiana State University’s School of Veterinary Medicine, in Baton Rouge.
After graduating, Dr. Alexander moved to the Tampa Bay area in Florida, where she worked in both general practice and in an emergency center. In 2013, Dr. Alexander was thrilled to become the owner of Ambassador Animal Hospital. She is excited to be building lifelong relationships with her Greenville clients, and caring for their furry family members.
In her spare time, Dr. Alexander enjoys music, hiking, and spending time with her family. She and her husband, Mike, have three children (Addison, Jonah, and Samuel), 3 cats, and their dog, Bolt. Dr. Alexander feels truly blessed to be able to wake up every day and enjoy her profession. She loves caring for companion animals, and loves even more being able to send home happy and healthy pets.
Dr. Alfieris joined our Greenville Veterinarian team in 2016. She was born and raised in Rock Hill, SC where she knew she wanted to become a veterinarian from a very young age. She even wrote an autobiography in the fifth grade with an entire chapter dedicated to her future goals as a “pet vet.” Dr. Alfieris went on to attend undergraduate school at Clemson University and veterinary school at the University of Georgia. She is recently married to her husband, John, whom she met while at Clemson. Together they have one fur-baby, a German Shorthaired Pointer named Riggs, whom they love to take on walks! Dr. Alfieris also loves cheering on her Clemson Tigers in college football, relaxing on the beach, and spending time with her wonderful family. She is thrilled to join the Ambassador team, and is committed to treating every pet with high-quality care and love.
A Greenville, South Carolina native, Dr. Blumer grew up with a love for all animals, including her own little grey cat and the cows in the farm just behind her childhood home.
Her journey toward veterinary medicine took a rather roundabout approach as she began her undergraduate studies in pursuit of a biology education degree. This plan changed quickly upon the realization that veterinary medicine could unite her two greatest passions: people and pets. She received her Bachelor of Science in biology from Bob Jones University, then continued on to earn her Bachelor of Veterinary Science from Massey University of New Zealand in 2019. She joined the team at Ambassador Animal Hospital in mid 2020.
In her free time Dr. Blumer enjoys being outdoors hiking, bird watching, and cycling or relaxing inside with a good book and her sweet cat, Bobcat. She is so excited to be back in the Greenville community to help care for your furry family members.
Jan was born and raised in sunny southern California and made her way to Greenville 11 years ago. Jan has always loved and cared for animals. Her passion for animals led her to a career as a veterinary technician 18 years ago. Jan and her husband have 2 adorable cocker spaniels, Ecko and Repeat aka Pete. Jan spends her time off enjoying her 2 grandchildren. She also enjoys camping, painting, and gardening.
Kayla is a true southern girl who grew up in Spartanburg, SC. She originally went to school for phlebotomy, but decided she wanted to work with animals after she got a job at Ambassador Animal Hospital assisting with X-rays, prepping for surgeries, and helping with dental cleanings. She loves working with animals, getting to see her sick patients progress from day-to-day, and feeling like she’s making a difference for people and their pets. At home, she stays busy with her husband, and her two young sons, Kannon and Krew and her Dachshund, Cooper. Kayla also enjoys swimming at the pool, going to the gym, and hanging outdoors in beautiful, sunny South Carolina with her friends and family.
Kelly was born and raised in Easley, SC. She has been passionate about helping save animals since she was 10 years old. She found her love for rescuing animals even stronger after working at the Humane Society for a little over a year and knew this is the career she wanted to pursue. Shortly after working at the Humane Society, she found her way to Ambassador Animal Hospital. She has one daughter and three fur babies whom she loves dearly! She soon returns to school to become a licensed technician. Kelly also loves Clemson football, attending music festivals and concerts, and being outdoors.
Kelsie was born and raised in Eastern Connecticut and moved to Greenville in 2009. She grew up around all kinds of animals from a very young age that she helped take care of. She and her fiancé have three boxers and two rescue cats. She enjoys cooking, yoga, and taking care of her garden. Her dedication to animals brought her to Ambassador where she is excited to grow.
Sara was born and raised in Travelers Rest, SC where she discovered her love for animals, dogs specifically, at a very young age. Sara played collegiate soccer while pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and shortly after graduation her passion to work with dogs led her to Ambassador. In her free time Sara enjoys coaching soccer, working out, and adventuring outdoors with her Australian Shepherd, Koda.
Ashton was born and raised in Greenville, SC. She grew up riding horses which started her love for animals at a young age. She currently has 3 pets of her own, one dog and two cats. She started her career with dogs at a doggy daycare until she found her way to Ambassador Animal Hospital. She intends on going to school to get her Veterinarian Technicians’s License to help further her career in the animal field. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, going to concerts, and hiking with her dog.
Brooke was born in Greenville, SC and currently lives in Lyman, SC. She has grown up with dogs and horses her entire life and currently has five pups of her own. Brooke is attending Converse College studying biology and riding for their equestrian team! She is working towards attending a veterinarian school so that she can pursue her dream of becoming a Vet, working with small and large animals. Her hobbies include horseback riding, enjoying the great outdoors and traveling.
Latoya was born in Asheville, NC. She moved to Greenville, SC with her family to further her brothers education. Latoya has had a love for animals of all shapes and sizes since childhood, her dream was always to work with animals. She has been professionally in the pet care industry for over a decade. She is a fur mom to a German Shepherd, Moses, and two cats, Ashton and Marmalade. In her free time she likes to take Moses for pup-dates, travel, and work on her photography.
Theresa was born and raised in New York. She moved here in 2009 to be closer to family. She is a mom of 3 children and rescue and foster mom for fur babies. She has 10 years experience in the veterinary field. She is dedicated to animals wellbeing and health. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, and the lake.
Bolt is our two year old greet dog. He is very well mannered, stealer of our lunches, lives with two of his best friends Sammy and Jonah, loves long walks, playing with his doggie friends, and being able to come hang out with his mom at work.
