Dr. Couture spent her childhood in the Midwest where she discovered at a young age her passion for caring for animals. In order to pursue her dreams, she first attended the University of Michigan, in Ann Arbor, where she earned her Bachelors of Science. She then continued her education and graduated from Louisiana State University’s School of Veterinary Medicine, in Baton Rouge.
After graduating, Dr. Couture moved to the Tampa Bay area in Florida, where she worked in both general practice, and in an emergency center. Dr. Couture was able to develop a wide variety of skills and experiences in small animal medicine and surgery. In her spare time, Dr. Couture enjoys running, swimming, reading, playing guitar, and spending time outside. She also enjoys traveling and loves spending time with her family, which includes her two sons, her two cats, and her dog.
Dr. Couture feels truly blessed to be able to wake up every day and enjoy her profession and her career. She loves caring for companion animals, and loves even more being able to send home happy and healthy pets. Dr. Couture was thrilled to become the owner of Ambassador Animal Hospital in 2013. She looks forward to building lifelong relationships with her clients, and caring for their furry family members.
Dr. Alfieris joined our Greenville Veterinarian team in 2016. She was born and raised in Rock Hill, SC where she knew she wanted to become a veterinarian from a very young age. She even wrote an autobiography in the fifth grade with an entire chapter dedicated to her future goals as a “pet vet.” Dr. Alfieris went on to attend undergraduate school at Clemson University and veterinary school at the University of Georgia. She is recently married to her husband, John, whom she met while at Clemson. Together they have one fur-baby, a German Shorthaired Pointer named Riggs, whom they love to take on walks! Dr. Alfieris also loves cheering on her Clemson Tigers in college football, relaxing on the beach, and spending time with her wonderful family. She is thrilled to join the Ambassador team, and is committed to treating every pet with high-quality care and love.
As a recent graduate of Tri-County Technical College’s AVMA accredited program, Brandi has a passion for learning and animals. She enjoyed helping shelter animals find a loving home through the program’s Adoption Day each semester. In the past, Brandi has worked at both small and mixed animal practices around the Upstate and has finally found her home at Ambassador Animal Hospital. She hopes to use all her collegiate knowledge and skills to continue to improve the well-being of animals. She understands that if you can teach one person the value of a cat or dog, you can reach many more. At home, she loves spending time with her adopted cat Sunday and staying active outdoors. Brandi also enjoys Clemson football games and rooting for her favorite team.
Kayla is a true southern girl who grew up in Spartanburg, SC. She originally went to school for phlebotomy, but decided she wanted to work with animals after she got a job at Ambassador Animal Hospital assisting with X-rays, prepping for surgeries, and helping with dental cleanings. She loves working with animals, getting to see her sick patients progress from day-to-day, and feeling like she’s making a difference for people and their pets. At home, she stays busy with her husband, and her two young sons, Kannon and Krew and her Dachshund, Cooper. Kayla also enjoys swimming at the pool, going to the gym, and hanging outdoors in beautiful, sunny South Carolina with her friends and family.
Michelle grew up in the upstate of South Carolina and attended Southern Wesleyan University. Shortly after earning her Bachelor’s degree in English, she moved to Oregon to pursue other opportunities. It was on the coast of the Pacific Northwest where Michelle realized her lifelong passion for animals could turn into an amazing career. Michelle has recently returned to the Upstate, where she soon discovered Ambassador Animal Hospital, and plans to continue her education in veterinary medicine here. Michelle lives with her spouse, 2 dogs, and 2 cats and enjoys hiking, music, rummaging through antique stores, and traveling.
Kelly was born and raised in Easley, SC. She has been passionate about helping save animals since she was 10 years old. She found her love for rescuing animals even stronger after working at the Humane Society for a little over a year and knew this is the career she wanted to pursue. Shortly after working at the Humane Society, she found her way to Ambassador Animal Hospital. She has one daughter and three fur babies whom she loves dearly! She soon returns to school to become a licensed technician. Kelly also loves Clemson football, attending music festivals and concerts, and being outdoors.
Samantha was born and raised in Chesnee, South Carolina. Her passion for animals started at a very young age. She was raised on a farm with cows, goats, horses, dogs and a lot of barn cats. She is a mom of four beautiful children. She decided to pursue her passion in the animal field in 2007. She attended school to become a Veterinary Assistant, where she trained as a Pet Nurse. She has worked with both large and small animals. She came to Ambassador to pursue her career in veterinary medicine with a fantastic team.
Violet was born and raised in Taylors, SC, close to Ambassador Animal Hospital in Greenville. Having had family pets her whole life, she quickly learned of her passion for animals. After moving to Winston-Salem, NC in her teens, Violet started her career with animals. She currently is “mom” to a Miniature-Pincer named Minnie Me, and three cats. Violet loves spending time with her son Aiden, and her husband Caleb. Her hobbies include drawing and being outdoors.
Mimi knew she wanted to work with animals when she was an 8-year-old living in Lindenwold, NJ—where she rescued a baby squirrel who had fallen from her nest. The squirrel survived and became her beloved pet Jasmine. After high school, Mimi moved to Greenville, SC and took courses to become a certified veterinary assistant. To pay her way through school, she got a job as a bather at PetSmart and discovered her love for grooming cats and dogs. Mimi is now thrilled to be at Ambassador Animal Hospital where she can blend her love of grooming, with individual attention to family pets. She lives with her two dogs: her Shitzu-Yorkie mix named Sasha Marie, and her Schnoodle mix named Cooper Allan. When she’s not at work, she enjoys animé, video games, and listening to and playing music.
Bolt is our two year old greet dog. He is very well mannered, stealer of our lunches, lives with two of his best friends Sammy and Jonah, loves long walks, playing with his doggie friends, and being able to come hang out with his mom at work.
