Before moving to Greenville, Veterinarian Dr. Couture attended Louisiana State University’s School of Veterinary Medicine in Baton Rouge. In veterinary school Dr. Couture’s passion for caring for companion animals was realized. She excelled academically and was active in the student body at LSU.
After graduating, Dr. Couture moved to the Tampa Bay area in Florida, where she worked in both general practice, and emergency medicine. Dr. Couture was able to develop a wide variety of skills and experience in small animal medicine and surgery. In Florida, she met and married her husband Dan, and they now have two young sons. They also have two cats, two goats, and one dog. In her spare time, Dr. Couture enjoys running, swimming, reading, playing guitar, and writing music. She also enjoys traveling and loves spending time with her family.
Dr. Couture feels truly blessed to be able to wake up every day and enjoy her profession. She loves caring for companion animals, and loves even more being able to send home happy and healthy pets. Dr. Couture is thrilled to be the owner of Ambassador Animal Hospital in Greenville, and looks forward to building lifelong relationships with her new clients, and caring for their furry family members. She is excited for the many years to come, for being part of the Greenville community, and for being your veterinarian.
Dr. Alfieris joined our Greenville Veterinarian team in 2016. She was born and raised in Rock Hill, SC where she knew she wanted to become a veterinarian from a very young age. She even wrote an autobiography in the fifth grade with an entire chapter dedicated to her future goals as a “pet vet.” Dr. Alfieris went on to attend undergraduate school at Clemson University and veterinary school at the University of Georgia. She is recently married to her husband, John, whom she met while at Clemson. Together they have one fur-baby, a German Shorthaired Pointer named Riggs, whom they love to take on walks! Dr. Alfieris also loves cheering on her Clemson Tigers in college football, relaxing on the beach, and spending time with her wonderful family. She is thrilled to join the Ambassador team, and is committed to treating every pet with high-quality care and love.
April grew up in Jasper, Florida, and is a die-hard Seminoles fan, but she has spent most of her adult life in Valdosta, GA. She relocated to Greenville in November of 2013 for her husband’s career, moving with her husband Tim and her daughter Zoe.
April used to work at an attorney’s office, but after moving to Greenville decided to work for veterinarians instead. She loves animals of all shapes and sizes, and has made the switch to working at Ambassador Animal Hospital. We are lucky to have her! She has a Golden-Labradoodle named Sadie, a Terrier mix named Buttercup, and a cat named Baby. In her spare time she does interior design and enjoys running.
Violet was born and raised in Taylors, SC, close to Ambassador Animal Hospital in Greenville. Having had family pets her whole life, she quickly learned of her passion for animals. After moving to Winston-Salem, NC in her teens, Violet started her career with animals. She currently is “mom” to a Miniature-Pincer named Minnie Me, and three cats. Violet loves spending time with her four-year-old boy, and her husband, Caleb. Her hobbies include drawing and being outdoors.
Carri has worked as a Certified Veterinary Technician since 2008, beginning her career as a college intern at a veterinary practice in Greenville, SC. She worked at another animal hospital, the Humane Society—and even did a two-and-a-half-year stint as a Sterile Processing Technician for Greenville Hospital System and St. Francis—before finding her home here at Ambassador Animal Hospital. Her diverse background is an asset for the many different situations a veterinary technician faces every day. Her husband, Chris, owns a fencing company, and her two young children, Chris, Jr. and Lauren, like to help daddy out. The entire family likes to garden and work in the yard together. Recently, Carri made the mistake of getting her kids a puppy (just kidding, she secretly loves her), so now she also has a high-energy, Boxer mix named Cinnamon on her hands.
Kayla is a true southern girl who grew up in Spartanburg, SC. She originally went to school for phlebotomy, but decided she wanted to work with animals after she got a job at Ambassador Animal Hospital assisting with X-rays, prepping for surgeries, and helping with dental cleanings. She loves working with animals, getting to see her sick patients progress from day-to-day, and feeling like she’s making a difference for people and their pets. At home, she stays busy with her husband, her young son, Kannon, and her Dachshund, Copper. Kayla also enjoys swimming at the pool, going to the gym, and hanging outdoors in beautiful, sunny South Carolina with her friends and family.
Libby may look little, but she has a big, welcoming smile and an even bigger heart. She worked a number of management and front desk positions before coming on board as a receptionist at Ambassador Animal Hospital. She enjoys feeling like she’s part of a team effort to save animals—she loves checking animals in, assisting with care in any way she can, and watching the veterinarians work, since she hopes to become a Veterinary Technician one day. Libby will be getting married in the near future, but for now, she shares her home with two lively, rambunctious Dobermans, her fur babies Tessa and Duke.
Our Kennel Manager Jade grew up in Greenville, SC—loving animals and dreaming of working with them when she grew up. As a technician assistant, she feels she is similar to a CNA, and she enjoys getting to take the time to care for clients and helping them heal. She is the mom to one boy, who she loves with all her heart, and dog mom to one short and stocky Pitbull mix named Moose. When she’s not being a caretaker for animals or for her child, she likes to work out her extra energy with highly-active hobbies, including skating (skate team/roller derby), hiking, traveling, and spending as much time as possible outdoors.
Mimi knew she wanted to work with animals when she was an 8-year-old living in Lindenwold, NJ—where she rescued a baby squirrel who had fallen from her nest. The squirrel survived and became her beloved pet Jasmine. After high school, Mimi moved to Greenville, SC and took courses to become a certified veterinary assistant. To pay her way through school, she got a job as a bather at PetSmart and discovered her love for grooming cats and dogs. Mimi is now thrilled to be at Ambassador Animal Hospital where she can blend her love of grooming, with individual attention to family pets. She lives with her pet Guinea Pig, Julie May, and three dogs: a Shitzu-Yorkie mix named Sasha Marie, and Schnoodle mix named Cooper Allan, and her most recent rescue, a Collie mix named Alanah Grace (aka Nugget). When she’s not at work, she enjoys animé, video games, and listening to and playing music.
Missy was rescued in early 2016 and now lives full-time at Ambassador Animal Hospital! She spends her days playing with leashes, burrowing under her blankets to nap, and making messes for the Ambassador staff to clean up.
