Dr. Alexander spent her childhood in the Midwest where she discovered at a young age her passion for caring for animals. In order to pursue her dreams, she first attended the University of Michigan, in Ann Arbor, where she earned her Bachelors of Science. She then continued her education and graduated from Louisiana State University’s School of Veterinary Medicine, in Baton Rouge.
After graduating, Dr. Alexander moved to the Tampa Bay area in Florida, where she worked in both general practice and in an emergency center. In 2013, Dr. Alexander was thrilled to become the owner of Ambassador Animal Hospital. She is excited to be building lifelong relationships with her Greenville clients, and caring for their furry family members.
In her spare time, Dr. Alexander enjoys music, hiking, and spending time with her family. She and her husband, Mike, have three children (Addison, Jonah, and Samuel), 3 cats, and their dog, Bolt. Dr. Alexander feels truly blessed to be able to wake up every day and enjoy her profession. She loves caring for companion animals, and loves even more being able to send home happy and healthy pets.
Dr. Alfieris joined our Greenville Veterinarian team in 2016. She was born and raised in Rock Hill, SC where she knew she wanted to become a veterinarian from a very young age. She even wrote an autobiography in the fifth grade with an entire chapter dedicated to her future goals as a “pet vet.” Dr. Alfieris went on to attend undergraduate school at Clemson University and veterinary school at the University of Georgia. She is recently married to her husband, John, whom she met while at Clemson. Together they have one fur-baby, a German Shorthaired Pointer named Riggs, whom they love to take on walks! Dr. Alfieris also loves cheering on her Clemson Tigers in college football, relaxing on the beach, and spending time with her wonderful family. She is thrilled to join the Ambassador team, and is committed to treating every pet with high-quality care and love.
Samantha was born and raised in Chesnee, South Carolina. Her passion for animals started at a very young age. She was raised on a farm with cows, goats, horses, dogs and a lot of barn cats. She decided to pursue her passion in the animal field in 2007. She attended school to become a Veterinary Assistant, where she trained as a Pet Nurse. She and her husband have one dog, Peanut, and 5 kids. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, riding motorcycles, and being with her family. She also enjoys crafting and cooking.
Kayla is a true southern girl who grew up in Spartanburg, SC. She originally went to school for phlebotomy, but decided she wanted to work with animals after she got a job at Ambassador Animal Hospital assisting with X-rays, prepping for surgeries, and helping with dental cleanings. She loves working with animals, getting to see her sick patients progress from day-to-day, and feeling like she’s making a difference for people and their pets. At home, she stays busy with her husband, and her two young sons, Kannon and Krew and her Dachshund, Cooper. Kayla also enjoys swimming at the pool, going to the gym, and hanging outdoors in beautiful, sunny South Carolina with her friends and family.
Kelly was born and raised in Easley, SC. She has been passionate about helping save animals since she was 10 years old. She found her love for rescuing animals even stronger after working at the Humane Society for a little over a year and knew this is the career she wanted to pursue. Shortly after working at the Humane Society, she found her way to Ambassador Animal Hospital. She has one daughter and three fur babies whom she loves dearly! She soon returns to school to become a licensed technician. Kelly also loves Clemson football, attending music festivals and concerts, and being outdoors.
Kelsie was born and raised in Eastern Connecticut and moved to Greenville in 2009. She grew up around all kinds of animals from a very young age that she helped take care of. She and her fiancé have three boxers and two rescue cats. She enjoys cooking, yoga, and taking care of her garden. Her dedication to animals brought her to Ambassador where she is excited to grow.
Jan was born and raised in sunny southern California and made her way to Greenville 11 years ago. Jan has always loved and cared for animals. Her passion for animals led her to a career as a veterinary technician 18 years ago. Jan and her husband have 2 adorable cocker spaniels, Ecko and Repeat aka Pete. Jan spends her time off enjoying her 2 grandchildren. She also enjoys camping, painting, and gardening.
Shayna was born and raised in Simi Valley, California. In 2016, she decided to move to Greenville in her pursuit of education in animal sciences. Shayna loves working with animals and that is what brought her to Ambassador. Shayna has 5 cats and 3 dogs. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, scuba diving, camping, and skiing.
Sara was born and raised in Travelers Rest, SC where she discovered her love for animals, dogs specifically, at a very young age. Sara played collegiate soccer while pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and shortly after graduation her passion to work with dogs led her to Ambassador. In her free time Sara enjoys coaching soccer, working out, and adventuring outdoors with her Australian Shepherd, Koda.
Violet was born and raised in Taylors, SC, close to Ambassador Animal Hospital in Greenville. Having had family pets her whole life, she quickly learned of her passion for animals. After moving to Winston-Salem, NC in her teens, Violet started her career with animals. She currently is “mom” to a Miniature-Pincer named Minnie Me, and three cats. Violet loves spending time with her son Aiden, and her husband Caleb. Her hobbies include drawing and being outdoors.
Theresa was born and raised in New York. She moved here in 2009 to be closer to family. She is a mom of 3 children and rescue and foster mom for fur babies. She has 10 years experience in the veterinary field. She is dedicated to animals wellbeing and health. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, and the lake.
Bolt is our two year old greet dog. He is very well mannered, stealer of our lunches, lives with two of his best friends Sammy and Jonah, loves long walks, playing with his doggie friends, and being able to come hang out with his mom at work.
